The Museum has departments for archaeology, ethnology, history, pedagogy.

The archaeological department has a collection of 10,000 items covering the period from the old Stone Age through the early years of the Turkish occupation.

The ethnological department keeps materials and spiritual culture of the peoples from the Museum’s area of activity. It keeps a rich collection of costumes, jewellery, every-day items, etc.

Particularly valuable are the photos of old Doboj from the period of the Austro-Hungarian rule; some original military units documents, military commands documents and civilian authorities’ documents from the World War II.
