Let’s Chat: River of Tea

See an exhibition of Tim Smith’s photographs retracing the route of the early tea trade, and contribute your thoughts about how we should tell stories in our galleries.

River of Tea is a series of photographs by Tim Smith, exploring how the early tea trade sparked the migration of people from Bangladesh to Britain. Created in partnership with communities in Bradford, the display also features videos and other imagery to bring this fascinating story to life.

River of Tea is part of Let’s Chat, a new project offering a way for you to tell us what you want to see at the museum. Let us know your thoughts about how we’ve displayed images in River of Tea, and the results will help us shape future exhibitions and displays.

Free entry; booking essential
