Toilet Mirror

An easel-supported toilet mirror with a Boulle marquetry frame of red-backed turtleshell, brass and pewter. 'Tarsia a incastro' was a marquetry technique developed around 1620 by Italian marqueters working in Italy. The technique is often referred to as 'Boulle' marquetry because of its association with the famous French cabinet-maker Andr?-Charles Boulle (1642-1734). Size: Height: 35 cm; Width: 28 cm.
