“About the past for the future”
Repression years of the Soviet Union had touched to Azerbaijani culture too.Hundreds of remarkable art representatives also had been victims of this regime.For example one of the most prominent representatives of romantism which appeard in twentieth century Azerbaijani literature,poet,playwrite Huseyin Javid, a notable tragedy actor,great producer Abbas Mirza Sharifzadeh, remarkable representatives of the school of realist actors Ulvi Rajab, Panifilia Tanailidy who had worked in the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre and etc.
A lot of original materials, documents about victoms of repression are kept in the fund of the museum today. According to these documents an exhibition by name “About the past for the future” dedicating to the International Museums’ Day and reflecting the life of the victims of repression will be held under the motto of ICOM by the Azerbaijan State Theatre museum named after Jafar Jabbarli.
The exhibition will be demonstrated during the day at the Azerbaijan State Theatre museum named after Jafar Jabbarli on 18th May in 2017
