Museum of the Americas
Museo de América
The Museum of America is a museum located in Madrid (Spain). It was created on April 19 1941 to house collections of art, archeology and ethnographyAmerican, from pre-Columbian times to the colonial.
The collection was exhibited in the National Archaeological Museum halls until 1962 when it moved to its final location. Three years later he was officially opened. The museum was closed between 1981 and 1994 due to renovation work.
The building, designed by architects Luis Martinez and Luis Moya Feduchi, reflects the culture.
