Cradle of Aviation Museum

Explore over 150,000 square feet featuring 75 air and spacecraft from a hot air balloon to an actual Lunar Module and learn about Long Island's role and why we are called the Cradle of Aviation. Our eight exhibit galleries are in chronological order and throughout the museum our volunteer docents are there to share their aerospace experience. There are over 30 hands-on exhibits, a half dozen cockpits to climb into and many short films through-out the exhibits.

Fly with the Blue Angels in the X-Ride Theater - our 30-seat giant motion simulator, see a show in our new all-digital JetBlue Sky Theater Planetarium or take in a film in our Giant Dome Theater. You can even take a spin on Nunley's Historic Carousel while you're here.

Open Tuesday through Sunday, 9:30-3:00, Sat-Sun and Holidays 9:30-5:00 and on Mondays that fall on holidays or school breaks. Parking is FREE.
