Tahoe Maritime Museum

The Tahoe Maritime Museum was founded in 1987, and in 2008 celebrated the opening of its new building where our museum now resides. Some features include multiple vessels from Tahoe's past, an Outboard Motor wall, movie about Lake Tahoe's maritime history, a children's activity area, and much more! Our current exhibit is Tahoe Escape: Surviving the Great Depression.

The Museum Annex in Truckee also houses a number of artifacts not currently on display in our main exhibit at the Museum. Monthly open houses occur during the summer months. Check our website for details.
