Biodiversity of Serbia

The exhibition "Biodiversity of Serbia" represents the richness of the flora and fauna of our country. All types are original and made with special preparatory methods. They are located in characteristic situations, shown throughout the four seasons and through different parts of the day. This exhibition shows authentically the natural wealth of Serbia. The survival of a man is directly conditioned by the preservation of the natural resources of our planet, the basis of which is the total biodiversity of its living world. Therefore, contemporary development strategies include the concept of conservation and preservation of biodiversity, planning of economic and social development, with the rational use of resources and conservation of nature and the environment. Serbia represents one of the six biodiversity centers in Europe. Serbia is characterized by a high degree of genetic, species and ecosystem diversity. In the territory of Serbia, 62 significant plants areas, 42 significant birds’ areas and 40 selected areas for daily butterflies have been identified.
