This shroud belonged to a lady called Tashay who lived during the Roman period (140-160 AD). They show a mixture of Greek, Roman and Egyptian styles. Tashay is shown in Greek dress, but the gods are typically Egyptian. Thoth and Horus weigh Tashay's heart against the feather of Truth.

Cut shroud fragment with hieroglyphs painted scene depicting a dead woman, Tashay, having her heart weighed, against the feather-standard of truth and righteousness in a scale by Thoth and Horus, while Thoth in his baboon form is sitting on the top of the scale. Dated by her hairstyle to 140-160 AD. 25 x 22.5cm. The woman wears a tunic with clavi. Purchased by Wellcome at auction in 1931. See See Griffiths, G.
