Teapot and Cover

Teapot of spherical form raised on a shallow foot. The teapot has a short cylindrical neck, projecting conical spout and loop handle; a shallow domed cover surmounted by a pear shaped knop. Painted in black monochrome with a scene depicting two gentlemen and two ladies, all in European costume, and a dog. The cover is decorated with arched ruins and landscape with a leaping dog. The knop painted gold, much worn.
