White gauze fan decorated with dragonflies, in a box. The guards and lower sticks are made of gilded carved ivory. The leaves of white silk gauze, painted with green, white and pink floral sprays turquoise, jade and royal blue dragonflys picked out with tiny gold sequin discs, and having applied motifs of white machine made lace incorporated in the design as well as bordering the upper edge of the fan. The upper portion of the sticks are of white paper covered wood, and attached to the metal ring is the original tag ' Au Louvre, Paris '. The box is plain white paper covered and unmarked.
