Description: Meiping vase. Hard-paste porcelain, thrown, and painted in underglaze-blue. The vase has a short neck with everted, rounded mouth rim flaring gently out to the foot. It has a shallow, uneven footrim tapering in with flat, barely recessed, unglazed base. The shoulders are decorated with three lappets of lotus divided by clouds, above a central panel of scrolling lotus, beneath which is a band of geometric lappets.
