Figure of a Goddess (possibly Britannia)

She stands on a rococo scrollwork base; the scrollwork pierced and picked out in gold and bright green enamel. Behind her to her left is a cluster of boccage made up of oak leaves and acorns. On her head she wears a helmet. Her right hand holds to her side a shield upon which is modelled in shallow relief a lion and a boar, symbols of force, and her left hand and arm are extended upwards as it to carry a spear or trident. Size: 26.8 cm
