MORE THAN 13 000 SPECIMENS are preserved for study in this national collection of Oman's plants. Formed in 1982 with a gift of 800 named specimens by the late John Maconochie, it is growing in size; repute and usefulness. It has received international recognition and the award of the acronym "ON".
