Talk

Talks At The Seams
Saturday 23rd July

An opportunity to discuss key questions and problematics at the heart of the exhibition. Discussion will engage with concerns surrounding the pictorial role of embroidery in Palestinian art history; the work of embroidery NGOs and craft-production as empowerment; the shaping of identity and embroidery’s role in resistance. This is also a chance for the public to engage with the Palestinian Museum itself, its satellite concept, and position in the landscape of new institutions growing in Lebanon and the region.
