Creative Approaches to Teaching Mental Health: Psychology and Health and Human Development

The workshop includes:

  • a guided tour of the gallery highlighting how artwork can be used to illuminate students’ understanding of mental health and psychological theories;
  • a meeting with an advocate from the Mental Illness Fellowship to hear directly of their experience of mental illness and recovery;
  • how to create a safe and supportive class environment that supports teaching mental health.

Duration: 3 hours, 4:30 – 7:30pm
Dates: Thursday 14th July 2016
Cost: $120 per teacher (excl. GST)
Resources: Teacher and student resources provided during the workshop.
