Museum of Carouge

Musée de Carouge

The Museum of Carouge presents every year, three to four temporary exhibitions. They are held throughout the seasons and events that take place in Carouge. During the Spring and Summer, the museum is the partner of the Printemps Carougeois. This event is organized around a theme, and comes alive for ten days. Many concerts, shows, exhibitions, storytelling evenings, conferences and various events are organized for the occasion.

Autumn is preferably booked for ceramic. In memory of the ceramic history of the town, the Museum presents an exhibition of pottery and a biennial of the International Ceramics Competition. This one enjoys a great success since its first edition in 1987.

During the winter, the Museum reserves its rooms to its collections or to an artist from Carouge. It allows the public to discover artists as diverse as Tom Tirabosco, Christa from Carouge, Gérald Poussin, members of Studio GDS, Pierre Terbois, Rudolf Haas, Pierre-Eugène Vibert or James Vibert.
