The Powder Works
In 1965 The Army’s Powder Works, based on the old gunpowder works from 1758, was closed and parts of it were made into a working museum of powder production. The Powder Works Museum is probably the best preserved gunpowder works in the world with intact machinery from the late 1800’s.
