Muzium Matawang Bank Negara
Bank Negara Malaysia Money Museum & Art Centre is located on the first floor of the central office of the Bank Negara Malaysia - Central Bank of Malaysia. The museum’s exposition tells about the evolution of monetary relations, the ways of commerce before the advantage of money.
The museum’s collection includes money of the Malacca Sultanate, that was founded in 1402 (according to other sources - in 1403) with its capital in Malacca, culminating in the XV century; colonial money; rare collection of commemorative money released in honor of some prominent events; rare examples of money from all over the world, as well as rare examples of playing cards. It is worth noting the original money of 1710, released in Kedah - the oldest country on the territory of modern Malaysia that has existed since IV century BC (Now - the state of Kedah - Kedah Darul Aman), and a collection of different items of bronze that were used in Borneo until the beginning of the last century.
