Young at Art Children's Museum

A Unique Hands-On Children's Art Museum Young At Art Museum is where imagination, education and discovery meet in exciting and new ways. We believe that art has the power to inspire and teach children of all ages. At YAA, you will experience a variety of sounds, textures and sights as you move through our many exhibits, Art Institute, and teen center. In 1989, a small museum with a big idea – that art is central to shaping young minds and enriching our community – opened to overwhelming support by South Florida families. In the many years since our opening, Young At Art Museum has become a leader in its field, recognized as the Best Art Museum for Children in the Nation by Child magazine, recipient of numerous awards from the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Association of Children's Museums and National Endowment for the Arts, and in 2011, YAA received accreditation by the American Association of Museums, one of only six children’s museums in the nation awarded this prestigious designation.
