1. Exhibition of Academic trained graphic Slobodan Tomić / Perforations

About artist:

Slobodan Tomić (Split, 1960) graduated with a Graphic Arts degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 1984, Graphic Department, in the art class of professor Dževad Hozo. Since 1985, he has taken part in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Croatia and internationally taking part in festivals of experimental and animated films. He has created a wide range of experiments in the field of graphics, animation and new media. He has obtained several international awards for graphics and short films.

He lives in Split, and is Assistant Professor at the Arts Academy University of Split, where he teaches graphic art and 3D animation.

O autoru:

Slobodan Tomić rođen je u Splitu 1960. Diplomirao na ALU u Sarajevu 1984. god., odsjek grafike, u klasi Dževada Hoze. Predaje grafiku i 3D oblikovanje na Umjetničkoj akademiji u Splitu. Izlaže na mnogobrojnim samostalnim i kolektivnim izložbama u zemlji i svijetu. Također sudjeluje na festivalima eksperimentalnog i animiranog filma. Eksperimentira na području grafike, animacije i novih medija. Dobitnik je nekoliko međunarodnih nagrada za grafiku i kratki film.

About exhibition (excerpt from preface):

This new multidisciplinary and multimedia exhibition, under the title "Perforations", exposes the author's idea of ​​breaking a perceptual membrane between two distinct entities, analog and digital, haptic and apparent, visible and invisible.

Tomić is consistent in his radical asceticism while he is reflecting the ontology of media and trying to denude the photorealistic 3D graphics to the level of the primary computer graphics, i.e. to the matrix of pixels. This matrix is, as viewed in the light of the quantum theory that introduced the nonlinear matrix perception of the world, no more, no less the Matrix, the mistress of reality.

O izložbi (izvadak iz predgovora):

Ova multidisciplinarna i multimedijalna izložba, naslovljena «Perforacije», eksponira autorovu ideju o probijanju perceptivne opne između dva različita entiteta, analognog i digitalnog, haptičkog i prividnog, vidljivog i nevidljivog.

Tomić je dosljedan u radikalnom asketizmu dok promišlja ontologiju medija pa fotorealističku 3D grafiku pokušava ogoliti do razine primarne računalne grafike, odnosno do matrice piksela. Ta je matrica, viđena u svjetlu kvantne teorije koja je uvela matričnu nelinearnu percepciju svijeta, ni manje ni više, Matrix, gospodarica stvarnosti.

   (Stalni likovni postav Franjevačke galerije u proširenoj stvarnosti (XR))

About Permanent Exhibition of the Franciscan Gallery:

Permanent exhibition of the Franciscan gallery was opened on 6th november 2015.The current exhibition consists of 230 artworks, from the 19th century to 2015. It was created by the art historian Igor Zidic, together with mr. Josip Mijic and Vendelin Karacic. There are 205 authors, mainly from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.  It also includes the works of all the professors at the local fine arts academy. 

O stalnom likovnom postavu:

Stalni likovni postav Franjevačke galerije otvoren je 6. 10. 2015. Sadrži 230 radova i pokriva razdoblje od sredine XIX. stoljeća do godine 2015. Uredio ga je povjesničar umjetnosti i književnik Igor Zidić iz Zagreba, uz suradnju mr. slikarstva Josipa Mijića i fra Vendelina Karačića. Zastupljena su 203 autora, većinom iz Republike Hrvatske i Bosne i Hercegovine. U postavu su i radovi svih profesora i predavača s Akademije likovnih umjetnosti na Široki Brijeg.

 

Permanent Exhibition of the Franciscan Gallery in Exended Reality (XR):

On the International Day and European Night of the Museum in Bosnia and Herzegovina the Permanent Exhibition of the Franciscan Gallery  they will be expanded with computer-generated texts and images, that is, with Extended Reality (XR), digital information will be put to visitors through real artwork. They newsprint was created through the HP REVEAL application and will remain forever as an integral part of the Contemporary Art of the Franciscan Gallery.

Stalni likovni postav u proširenoj stvarnosti:

Povodom Međunarodnog dana i Europske noći muzeja u BiH Stalni likovni postav Franjevačke galerije bit će proširen računalno-generiranim tekstovima i slikama, odnosno, uz pomoć proširene stvarnosti (Extended reality (XR)) digitalne informacije posjetiteljima će biti postavljene preko stvarnih umjetničkih djela. Ova novina je ostvarena preko HP REVEAL aplikacije i ostat će za stalno kao sastavni dio Likovnoga stalnog postava Franjevačke galerije.
