Roman Hoards of Cheshire

This small exhibition features amazing Roman Hoards including the recently discovered Malpas & Frodsham Hoards, on loan from the National Museums Liverpool. Hoards like this help us explore life in this region nearly 2 000 years ago. The coins & jewellery which were buried would have been very valuable. They were hidden for safekeeping, but their owners never returned for them.
