It is a lockable case, with the key tied to the handle. The lid is rectangular with coloured wood inlay and single metal handle on top. Inside the top of the case is a small drawer fastened with a hook. This contains a spare foot (?), 2 metal accessories, a button, a spring, and a small key., , , , The machine has a metal clothplate. It is black with painted gold decorative detail on the arm and clothplate. The presser foot is missing but there is a feed wiuth teeth underneath to move the fabric through the machine either forwards or backwards. , , , , There is a tension device. Near the base of the arm is a sliding guage with the numbers 8,2,6,3,7 spaced along it. , , , , The clothplate is hinged at the back and can be lifted if a screw near the front is undone. This reveals a small recess with accessories and the mechansism.
