Wooden canopic chest, made for a man named Nakht-ankh, from the 'Tomb of the Two Brothers'. The chest is square, with a shallow, flat lid, and the interior is divided into four compartments to hold canopic jars (objects 4727-4730), which were padded with cloth and fibre. The surface of the chest is painted with yellow inscriptions on a green background, and with depictions of elaborate doorways surmounted by magical eyes.
