Printed sepia photograph of Madeline Macdonald and her sister Jan seated beside the fireplace in the dining room in their past home at 67 Church Road, Hayes, Middlesex. The photograph was taken by an unidentified professional photographer in the winter of 1942. Madeline and Jan's parents were Robert and Valmai Appleby. This is a copy of the original photograph made for the Geffrye Museum in 2010, and is one item in the Documenting Homes collection (158/2011-1 to “70) from Madeline Macdonald.
