One of the core mission of the museum is to enrich et preserve the artistic and historical heritage of Carouge. The museum has succeeded over the years to collect (purchase, gift, bequest) over 2,500 items. Due to a lack of space, the museum cannot unfortunately have an annual exhibition. However, it often organizes some temporary exhibition where visitors can discover a selection that gives pride to fine earthenware of Carouge, ceramics as well as contemporary works artists of the city, or in connection with the city, as well as more unexpected items such as the panoramic wallpapers discovered 20 years ago in a house in the Rue Saint-Victor.
