Bewdley Museum

The museum is set in the heart of the beautiful riverside market town of Bewdley, rich in Georgian heritage. On the edge of the historic Wyre Forest, Bewdley offers an ideal starting point for many scenic walks and easy access to local attractions such as Severn Valley Railway and West Midlands Safari Park.

Visit us and take a look back in time, not only into the history of our Georgian town but also the surrounding Wyre Forest area.

The Garden Kitchen café and the Garden bar are the perfect places to relax and enjoy lunch or a treat within the museum.

Visitors can enjoy visual craft demonstrations; audio histories; hands on activities; imaginatively displayed artefacts; tactile displays and a sensory herb garden with water feature. You can even find out what it was like to be locked up in our town jails!

What's more, admission to our historic museum is free. We welcome our visitor's donations which enable us to continue to bring the heritage and culture of this area to everyone.
