National Maritime Museum, Brest

Travel through 17 years of history
In the exceptional setting of the castle of Brest, the National Maritime Museum houses a unique heritage reflecting the great naval adventure Arsenal of Brest and the French Navy.
In recently renovated rooms, visitors can discover the masterpieces of naval decoration, Lapérouse expedition, life convicts or emblematic of contemporary Navy ships.
The tour combines internal and external, to assess the wealth of collections, views of the harbor and city and architectur the castle foundations Gallo-Roman fortifications of Vauban through the curtains, the bastion and walkway is a journey through 17 centuries of history that offers the visitor.
