The Helsinki University Museum preserves teaching and research equipment, furniture, works of arts and other valuable items.

The Power of Thought is the new permanent exhibition of the Helsinki University Museum. It tells the fascinating story of the University of Helsinki from the founding of the Turku Academy in 1640 to the present day. Exhibition is located in Helsinki University Main Building (Fabianinkatu 33).

The Helsinki Observatory of the Helsinki University Museum functions as a visitor centre that provides information about astronomy and its history, particularly to schoolchildren and other young visitors. The Observatory has a planetarium as well as a lecture room available for hire.
