10 1/2 Weeks – The Magic of Empty Spaces. An Artistic Collaborative Experiment at Kunsthaus Kannen
What happens when people with different backgrounds, desires, and ambitions come together to artistically reclaim an empty exhibition hall, three studios, and an adjacent garden?
For this experiment, Kunsthaus Kannen, a museum of outsider art and contemporary art, will be open for 10 ½ weeks. For 74 days, everything will revolve around art, music, theater, literature, dance, photography, and performance.
Whether working alone, in pairs, or in groups, whether freely or under guidance: everyone who is curious to see how people from all walks of life come together and creatively interact with one another on the basis of freedom and tolerance is welcome. In this way, the initially empty spaces will gradually fill with art, culture, and new life.
The project is accompanied and enriched by a diverse supporting program. Participants include the Münster Academy of Fine Arts, Rue Obscure, Die Reiser, the Kaleidosköpfe, Kultur:inklusive Münster, the Plauderbank, and Pop Planet—an accessible disco.
The official launch takes place on April 15 at 2 p.m.
You will be welcomed by Stephan Dransfeld, Executive Director of the Alexianer in Münster, and Dr. Katja Watermann, Director of the Kunsthaus, as well as by the participating artists.

Free entry.
