Elma Šturmaitė's watercolour exhibition "States"

The exhibition presents the latest works of artist Elma Šturmaitė. Works done on paper and canvas using the watercolour technique prevail. The artist describes her work as diverse, inseparable from daily mood changes, variety of emotions, thinking and seeing. Daily searches and inspirations are found by observing various realities of life, looking for answers in one's creativity. Self-renewal takes place, intuitive discovery of themes in technique, material, colour combinations. "My work is impermanent, just like life itself. Each day opens into a different era, limited by a day, week, month or year. But they are all different, the measure of time gives neither colour, nor depth, nor imagery. The works reflect the state of the self".

The artist Elma Šturmaitė was born in Tauragė district. She organized 59 personal exhibitions. Participated more than 220 times in joint national and international exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. Actively participates in various creative plein-airs, international watercolour biennials.
