"STREIFLICHT" - SPECIAL ART - MMKM MUSEUM MODERN ART MUELHEIM, GERMANY

Alumni of the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and students of the University of Fine Arts Essen have come together in the group "voll_format." They present artworks as reflections on the issues of our time that have captured their attention. The spectrum of exhibited works ranges from various painting techniques, prints, mixed-media, to objects.

Instead of highlighting individual works or artists, here is the collective statement from the represented artists:

"Human actions always take place at a specific time and in a definable location. They occur simultaneously with the actions of others that constitute the context, and all these events influence each other. This holds true for artistic actions as well. In visual art, the influence of what is happening concurrently always manifests itself. In various ways, the works of the 12 artists from Prof. Stephan Paul Schneider's class seem to reflect the events of our current reality. The impressions that these events left on the artists and their creative process also shaped the works, even if they do not explicitly carry political or thematic connotations."
