Museum of the Mercian Regiment

Discover 300 years of history of bravery, leadership, duty and sacrifice since 1741 for Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

The gallery tells the history of the Mercian Regiment and its Antecedent Regiments for Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Included is the history of The Sherwood Foresters and The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters, with displays beginning in 1741 with the formation of the 45th (Nottinghamshire) Regiment of Foot and concluding with The Mercian Regiment today.
