[WORKSHOP] DIY Printing Bookplates

In this workshop, Mr. Cheng Taigo will give an introduction to the history of bookplates (ex libris). He will cover their original purpose, introduce the tools and materials used to create bookplates, and demonstrate some common techniques. Participants will create their own bookplates using the linocut printmaking technique.

About the Instructor:
Mr. Cheng Taigo was previously the Chair of the Hong Kong Ex-Libris Association (HKEA), which aims to promote bookplate art in Hong Kong. Prior to his retirement, he worked in the art and design departments of Shaw Brothers Film Studio, TVB and Golden Harvest. The exhibition artist Malou Hung is one of the founders of HKEA.
