A display celebrating David Bomberg’s radical influence on the young artists he taught at the Borough Polytechnic between 1945 and 1953, including Dinora Mendelson, Dennis Creffield, Lilian Holt, Leslie Marr and Leon Kossoff. Whilst some exhibited together as the Borough Group, others were influenced by his belief in capturing the pure essence of a subject, which he called the ‘spirit of the mass’.
