Tea Bowl and Saucer

Part of a set of seven tea bowls, four saucers and a bowl. The tea bowl if inverted bell shaped form raised on a high cylindrical foot. Decorated with a border below the rim of small oval panels with shaped scrollwork borders and alternate panels with pastoral scenes seen against a background of scroll foliage and flowers. The inside of the bowl is decorated in the centre a man and a woman both naked seated by the side of a reedy pond, and in the background trees and in the middle distance a village. The saucer is circular dish shaped, and is decorated similarly.
