Cream Jug and Cover

Cream jug of pear shaped form raised on a shallow foot. The jug has a loop handle and projecting sparrow beak for pouring, and a high domed cover surmounted by a knop, which is missing. Decorated in black monochrome heightened in gold with a Nativity scene within a landscape. The Infant Jesus is seen in a crib with Mary, Joseph and shepherds look on, behind them are baskets of foliage and a sleeping donkey, and also painted on the cover. Size: Height: 12.5 cm.
