Pair of Jugs

Each is of pear form raised on a high conical foot, each has a projecting sparrow beak lip for pouring, each has a high loop handle, both are fitted with high domed covers surmounted by conical knops painted gold. Decorated with a cypher, set within a cartouche of scrollwork and flowers and shell ornament, the whole surmounted by a coronet. On either side a meander of flowers and foliage. All the decoration is in gold and black. Size: Height: 35.5 cm. X.5588.1 & 2
