A small crack and crazing to the glaze. John Hall and his sons were killed in the Rainton Colliery Plain Pit explosion in 1823 ( see file for details ). Made from pottery. Collected because it is related to a local pit disaster, and is an early example. Colour : cream and brown. It is in good condition.
