Strawberry Shortcake Toy Figure, 1980-1981 (Ref:L.H72.1985.22.0)
Two plastic figures representing the characters of Strawberry Shortcake and Custard the cat in their original packaging. The packaging also contains a red plastic comb and a "Thank You" card featuring a colour illustration of Strawberry Shortcake.
As with all the Strawberry Shortcake figures, both these toys are scented. Each figure was given a different smell to match the character's name. The pets were given the same scent as their owners.
Leicestershire manufacturers Palitoy introduced Strawberry Shortcake characters to Britain from America where they were created in 1979 to sell greetings cards.
