Spirograph toy containing four coloured pens, a plastic container full of pins, instruction book, pattern guide and twenty plastic circles in various sizes. The circles are used to create geometric patterns (see Other Views).
Spirograph was invented by Denys Fisher and sold by his company from 1964 until it was taken over by the American company, General Mills in 1970. This version of the game was made by Leicestershire toy manufacturer Palitoy Ltd. between 1975-1985. Palitoy started out as the toy division of Cascelloid Ltd., Leicester and was part of the General Mills Group from 1968 until it ceased production in 1986.
