Liberty 'Beatnix' pantie belt, a popular product which combined pants with a suspender belt. The prototype was designed by actress Diane Hart and the garment was produced and marketed by the Symington company. It was available in white, black, lemon and lilac.
The pantie belt has a front panel of nylon lace lined with satin, which gave support. Satin elastic at the back of the garment ensured that it could move with the body, but did not move out of place. The panels of cotton, nylon and rubber elastic down the side of the pantie belt controlled the thighs.
