Girl's corset bodice in grey sateen and lined with grey cotton. It has a button front fastening and double elastic lacing at the back.
The shape of the bodice is provided by twenty-two whalebone supports. Further support is provided by flat steels at the centre of the front and back. The shoulder straps have been left loose so that they can be pinned or stitched onto the bodice at the desired length. The double buttons at each side (see Other Views) were used to attach suspenders.
