A black, busk front corset lined with white twill and interlined with hessian. It is supported by string cording and two strips of whalebone down each side, giving the corset its distinctive style. The back lacing is supported by flat steel and cane boning.
The sides of the corset are decorated with a pale blue floral design (see Other Views) and its size indicates that it was probably designed for the younger figure.
