Featuring the family in their pew at St Mary's Parish Church in Melton Mowbray, this painting is unfinished and has been enlarged at the top and bottom at some time. Mrs Ferneley and her six children, and possibly the artist's father, William Ferneley are listening to the vicar, Dr Ford, preaching.
