An unusual garment, this Liberty "Tridle" was described by Symington as "a brilliant new design breakthrough giving a three-in-one garment - girdle, slip and briefs" (see Other Views). It was advertised in the press and on the London Underground.
The main body of the garment is made from an elastane net with a shaped front panel. The gusset is made from brushed nylon tricot and the slip section from nylon lace. Four suspenders are attached to the bottom of the girdle section.
