John-Paul Gaultier Jersey Dress, 1985 (Ref:L.C1.1994.0.0)
This grey and black striped jersey dress was created by Jean-Paul Gaultier for his "Gaultier Public" collection of Autumn/Winter 1985. The dress is inspired by cyclists clothing and has a panel at the back which closes with metal buttons, referring to the pockets on the back of a cycling shirt.
The dress has long black sleeves and a black collar and closes with a zip at the centre front. In the middle of the centre back at the shoulder is a small tab printed with cyrillic (Russian) characters. This dress probably comes from the same season as Gaultier's "Russian Biker" collection.
