Description: Jar with cover. Hard-paste porcelain painted in the `five colour' palette, green, iron-red, black, yellow, aubergine enamels with underglaze-blue (wucai decoration). The shouldered baluster vase tapers towards the flat, unglazed base with incised groove circling above it. The sides are decorated with children at play: `the hundred boys' pattern. A border of boys playing decorates the neck, beneath which is a crackle border in underglaze-blue around the shoulders. The cover is similarly decorated with boys at play and a yellow flower painted on the knop.
