Description: Bottle. Buff stoneware, thrown and turned, and painted (and perhaps partly stencilled) in iron-brown under a crazed, speckled olive green/brown glaze. Vase with tall, ovoid body, sloping shoulders and small neck with thickly potted, everted mouth rim. The body tapers gently to a double footrim which is unglazed. The lower rim is deeply recessed and flat. The vase is decorated with two birds, one sitting on a blossom branch, the other exotic bird is in flight surrounded by peonies and foliage.
