Appliqu? Block quilt - Turkey Tracks - with Pieced border. Maker probably Martha Metcalfe (nee Dent) Barnard Castle, County Durham, c.1880-1890 Red, white and green cottons, reverse white cotton. Quilted design follows blocks with Diamond motifs and Diamond filler; Diamond border pattern in sashing; Wave, Clamshell and Square Diamond outer border. Size: 237 x 234 cm.
